Borneo Royale Hotel - Tawau

Convenient location and easy parking nearby make it a plus 🙂.

Booked a room with delightful views of tawau town. The breakfast was GOOD, they serve good food.

Perfect and absolutely great hotel in a particularly good position to the city center of Tawau. Large and brand-new room, as well as very very helpful staff. Location really close to local eateries and eating place. Pleasant experience there.

Good averything is good

It next to a shopping centre. You can walk to the shopping centre from the lobby without getting out. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the shopping centre.

This trip is our honeymoon. I booked this hotel about 2 months ahead and clearly stated that I want a double bed room. However, the staff gave us a twin room instead on arrival and they didn’t make any effort to change a room for us. This hotel’s service is not even as good as a 3 star hotel. Anyway we only stayed there for 1 night for stop over.

The hotel is conveniently located near Eastern Plaza, but unfortunately next to a run, down shopping mall. the room was clean and had nice views, with the bathroom having functioning amenities. Staff were friendly and check, in was fast. the breakfast lacked variety and was not well, cooked. the hotel had a fitness centre and massage facilities, which were a plus.

The corridors had a bad smell, with the carpet in need of urgent replacement.

The staff here is friendly and willing to assist you, and there is convenient parking available nearby.

Very friendly staff, good facilities, good food.

The room is not very good. Have a little problem with water leakage in toilet and the bad is not very confortable, it is too short for tall people.

1. Very pleasant reception staff at checking in & out 2. Junior suite 1210 has good layout with big lcd tv :-)) 3. Modern electrical fixtures 4. Nice big fluffy towels & quality toilet tissue but soap has poor lathering 5. Breakfast spread was excellent with good choices esp bread, pastry & cake section.

Funny chairs/seats at the reception lounge are not comfortable.

During my New Year stay, I appreciated the complimentary gifts offered by the hotel, which included snacks and beverages. the hotel is conveniently located near various attractions and shopping areas, making it easy to explore the city. the comfortable bed and bedding ensured a good night's sleep.

The overall maintenance of the hotel needs improvement. the carpets and furnishings were worn out, and the room had a musty smell.

Great hotel although they only have 2 non-smoking floors and even though I requested a non-smoking room on both the occasions I stayed, no-one read the booking comments and therefore I was booked into a smoking room instead. Having said that, they were happy to move me when I asked to be moved.

Im expecting the standard hotel interior design..but im quite impressed with the modern contemporary concept ...basically, at arriving the hotel lobby, they've won my 1st impression...im further impressed with the room interior design..which make me feel like im staying in a luxurious room.. :) ...so even though the town is not within walking distance from the hotel (you need to take a cab to the town), the luxurious feeling room has compensated that :)

Im staying on the 14th floor, & my friends stayed on the 15thfloor...we have different cafes stated in the voucher..so i'm separated from my frens while having breakfast..maybe they can give option to which cafe the guest like to have their complimentary breakfast..and maybe they can offer free wifi at the lobby as what promenade kk has :)

Spent New Year's at a hotel in Tawau and it was fabulous! Two great things about it were the gym and spa - perfect for working up a sweat and unwinding. , it was in a prime location - super easy to get around town. But the best part? The hotel breakfast! I looked forward to it every morning.

The hotel wasn't perfect. The room was a bit dirty and the bathroom could have been cleaner.

Fit to my purpose for leasure and relexing .... staying at hotel which attached to shoping mall...where i able to buy things i needed .....

hmmmm...why they dont accept my debit card??? I have paid to Booked.net and the hotel again ...asked for payment in cash at no discounted rate.......normal room rate +++ ??????
